From Catholic Exchange, the conditions for Divine Mercy Sunday:
1. Receive Sacramental Confession, preferably before Divine Mercy Sunday (but can be done eight days before or after the Feast);

2. Receive Holy Communion on the day of the Feast;

3. Recite prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father;

4. Detached from all sin, even venial sin, celebrate the Feast on the Sunday after Easter with prayers and celebration;

5. Venerate the Image of the Divine Mercy;

6. Be merciful to others, through actions, words, and prayers on their behalf.

“Whoever approaches the fountain of Life on this day will be granted complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.”
