Dominus Illuminatio Mea

"...the gaze of the Church is constantly turned to her Lord, present in the Sacrament of the Altar, in which she discovers the FULL manifestantion of His boundless love." Ecclesia de Eucharistia

Today was nice. Minimal school work, no work this evening, and enough time to go over to the abbey and pray Lauds and Vespers with the Brothers. One of the best things about being Catholic is just being able to stop in at church to spend a few minutes in front of the Tabernacle. There's nothing better than waking up each morning and going to tell Jesus you love him, then coming back to leave yourself in His keeping throughout the night. Whispering sweet nothings or simply sitting in silence before the Ancient of Days..what a joy!

I wrote a little letter to Sr. Louise Marie the other day. I must admit, my thoughts stray often to AL. I would like very much to spend a little more time with the Sister Servants and the Poor Clares! Time is going by so quickly. I never thought the years would pass so fast when I started discerning at age 11 and considered imitating St. Therese and going to the Pope to ask for entrance! It seemed like a very good idea at the time...My parents and I have frequent "future" discussions. They would like me to get a college education, and I understand why. I won't make any decisions tonight, or this year though. As my brother in Christ used to tell me, "Elizabeth, don't go in!" Easier said than done, particularly if you're as stubborn as I am!

Sitting before Him is definately amazing! There is nothing else like it in the world, I do believe. How beautiful He is!
