St. Joseph of Cupertino! How could I have forgotten that today was his feast?? Thanks for the reminder, Rob!. St. Joseph of Cupertino is known for his supernatural gift of leviatation, but I like because he was so simple. He was limited intellectually, and was dismissed from the Capuchin Franciscans for his awkwardness, but by God's grace, eventually became a Conventual Franciscan priest. I had not heard of this little Franciscan until watching the move The Reluctant Saint. I'm not sure how factual it is, but Joseph's mother, a brusque Italian, never fails to make me laugh. Upon his dismissal from the Capuchin Franciscans...

Mother: Giuseppe, Giuseppe, why did they send you away? Why?
Joseph: I...I..broke a statue, mama...it was two HUNDRED years old!
Mother: Two hundred? Two HUNDRED?? pah, old piece of junk.
