Dominus Illuminatio Mea

"...the gaze of the Church is constantly turned to her Lord, present in the Sacrament of the Altar, in which she discovers the FULL manifestantion of His boundless love." Ecclesia de Eucharistia

Not too much to report. Summer is nice. Finally some free time to do some studying and drawing. I'll probably reapply for work at the nursing home shortly. A couple of the Brothers at our local Monastery started a Catholic outreach program at a park in the area. Last night was the second event, and it was beautiful experience. The Blessed Sacrament was exposed under a makeshift canopy...the best way to reach teens! (Another) anonymous individual donated the funds to our music group which came just in time to provide us with some great used equipment for outdoor music.

Please keep in your prayers a dear friend of mine from the Monastery who will be making his Final Profession in just a few days. God be praised! Also, keep in your prayers another friend who is suffering immensely.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about the "ethics" of art. Perhaps I'll post on that later, but Andrew aptly captured my general thoughts with his post on the power of beauty. Check it out at the Whapsters blog.
