O Blessed Trinity
We thank You for having graced the Church
with Pope John Paul II
and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care,
the glory of the cross of Christ,
and the splendor of the Holy Spirit,
to shine through him.
Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary,
he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd,
and has shown us that holiness
is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life
and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you.
Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will,
the graces we implore,
hoping that he will soon be numbered
among your saints.

With ecclesiastical approval

Blogging will be rather sparse for the remainder of the summer. I'm heading off on retreat with the SsEWs next week..please pray that it is a fruitful time of silence with the Beloved. Please also pray for four Benedictines who will be making their final Profession of vows next week, and four of the MFVAs who will be clothed as novices in August.
The weather has been unusually hot, but clear. Some friends and I went "out on the town" today to talk with teens about the outreach program sponsored by the Monastery. Unfortunately, most teens were (wisely) avoiding the heat by remaining inside, but we had fun anyways! Ended up wading through our part of the great Three Rivers which happens to be quite orange from iron deposits and years of coal mining.
I have begun asking wholeheartedly for the intercession of "Papa" John Paul (the cause for his beautification opens tomorrow!!!). He changed my life while he was on earth, and I imagine his sincere, fatherly love for the youth of the Church, now purified by the flames of the Heart of Christ, is only intensified.
