Dominus Illuminatio Mea

"...the gaze of the Church is constantly turned to her Lord, present in the Sacrament of the Altar, in which she discovers the FULL manifestantion of His boundless love." Ecclesia de Eucharistia

I haven't updated in awhile due to the general chaos of the household, so here are a few highlights...

1. The group going to WYD has been finalized, and we have been meeting to do service projects in the community. Our anonymous benefactor has urged that we "begin the journey now!" The kids going are a wonderful bunch and our collective excitement has provided us with sufficient energy to complete our assigned tasks despite the heat!

2. I spent 5 days last week with the Passionist Nuns in Pittsburgh, PA. It was a wonderfully peacefilled and joyful time of retreat, and I ask your prayers dear reader, that I might be faithful to the Love of God shown me during that time of silence.

3. The Profession of the 4 Benedictines was indescribably beautiful. Pray for their perseverance!

4. I went to visit Mag and the kids last week. I can't get over how fast the little ones are growing! Asrat keeps up a steady stream of chatter, pausing only to give a little wave to "Goosoos" (aka the new baby!).

5. I got ticketed for illegal parking at the Profession, but the man from security called twice today. First to inquire what the make of the car was, and secondly to tell me that the computer says the ticket has already been paid and he will shred the check I sent. Mysterious.

6. Mom is doing well in school, though she is of course quite tired.

7. For any young ladies discerning religious life who read this blog, please give a look at the Dominican Nuns in Marbury, AL. I received a letter from a Sister friend at the Sister Servants who told me about the Dominican community. They are 100% orthodox with perpetual Adoration and Rosary, but in desperate need of young vocations. http://www.stjudemonastery.org/
