Went to FOP practice today to rehearse for Friday. I was very nervous about playing, but was made to feel right at home. Made me realize though that FOP would be very "empty" (for lack of a better word) without Jesus truly Present in the Eucharist. HE is really and truly Present and is the cause for our joy and praise. We had a visiting Priest, and it seemed almost Eastern because he used a bunch of incense! It was such a joy to receive Jesus! I needed His Presence badly. I don't know how Christians manage without the Eucharist. The second reading was wonderful. All about putting love before all things, and the peace that Christ brings. I went to Confession this afternoon and Mass this evening. I don't know how I managed without Confession before my conversion. My friend from summer daily Mass was at Liturgy this evening. I guess she's home from college for Christmas. It was sooo nice to see her again. I wonder if she is going to change Rites? She likes the Byzantine Rite a lot apparently.
